Chris has reached his final destination, finally. He has arrived in Mosul in Northern Iraq. He will be stationed there while he is away from us. I have his mailing address and a non-government email address; if anyone wants them please contact me privately.
We've known for a little while now that he would not be staying in Baghdad as we originally thought. It was shocking to me to see photos of where he now is. For some reason I had imagined that he would just be sitting in a palace in Baghdad playing with computers for six months and then come home. To see the photos of Mosul was a big reality check for me. Chris is doing well, and from his own accounts he feels relatively safe, and so I must trust in him and in God's protection, leaving my fear behind as I wait for his return.
