David did a great job ... much better than I had anticipated or hoped for. As soon as we got there he just hopped in the chair (well, more like climbed) and opened his mouth. His only hesitation was with the saliva suction tube thing, but once I explained it would suck his spit he was all for it.
Looking back I think two major things contributed to his success: 1.) We had the first appointment of the morning, so there was no waiting around time where David could have started to build up anxiety. 2.) We talked about what the dentist would do before we arrived.
Timmy also did a great job ... babbling at the dentist and his hygienist throughout the appointment.
