Timmy meets the OT

After too much medical drama Timmy finally met with an Occupational Therapist yesterday for his issues with looking left more than right. A friend recommended her to me. So glad she did!
The OT was great. She spent a lot of time working with Timmy, doing various physical activities to see how he matches up developmentally with other infants his age. After spending 45 minutes with him she gave us a great plan of action to go forward with.
Timmy probably has a mild case of Torticollis (wry neck), which should work itself out naturally as he gets older. We'll help him deal with it by massaging his neck (his muscles in his neck are probably tight, which makes it more comfortable for him to look left) and encouraging him to look right.
We'll continue to meet with the OT every week to keep checking him out. Also, although the diagnosis is Torticollis, we're not sure right now why his neck is wry. Usually it's either visual or muscular. Visually he checks out. Muscularly, neither the OT or I can feel tighter muscles like you should expect to find. Chris says maybe he's just a stubborn boy who does things at his own pace and in his own style .... I think that "diagnosis" fits Timmy pretty well.
