After a couple of days to unwind and get some sleep, I can finally say that I am grateful that we had the opportunity to go to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland. I say this a lot when it comes to our time at Disney, but I feel so blessed that we have the time and money to make these memories with our kids. Chris' parents and sister came with us and I cherish the bond our sons are building with their extended family.
Besides that we just love the magic of Disney, I'm grateful for the consistency that Disney vacations bring to our family life. We are members of the Disney Vacation Club, so when we come to stay at a Disney resort the castmembers greet us with "Welcome Home." Since our intention is for Chris to make the military a career, our sons will spend most, if not all, of their childhood without a home in the traditional sense. They'll never be able to point out a house and say, "that's where I grew up." DVC allows us to take vacations at Disney parks for the next fifty years. So, while our boys will never have a traditional home, we'll have the family tradition of taking relaxing, memorable Disney vacations. What a blessing.
And now for some of the photos and stories from our recent visit. (You can click on the photos to enlarge them.)

David running off a ride at Knott's so he could get to the next ride faster. |

Chris and I with the seasonal decorated castle behind us. |

During our first day at Disneyland they were taping the Disneyland Christmas Day Parade, including, as pictured above, a performance by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy accompanied by some of the professional dancers from Dancing With The Stars. We didn't stick around long ... less wait on rides while people were standing around, but it was interesting to see how television gets made. |

This lovely castmember, Brooke, let our whole group skip the line for the Finding Nemo submarine ride after David came up to her and told her he was there to find Nemo. It was a magical moment. |

David and his idol. |

I think David's favorite rides where at A Bug's Land in California Adventure. Simple rides with a cute concept. |
A shot of the whole group. |
Can you tell he was excited to eat his David-safe Mickey Mouse pancakes? |
Timmy's favorite character was Stitch. |
The boys and Mickey Mouse! |
David seems to have a little crush on Minnie Mouse. Very cute. |
Our family on Dumbo. I'm on the right with David and Chris is low and to the left with Timmy. |
David enjoyed the water slide at the Grand California. We stayed in the villas there for two nights. It is a beautiful hotel. |
The boys spent a lot of time riding on shoulders. |
David had a several minute conversation with Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. They talked about how great Disneyland was and what it was like to have a baby brother. Then David gave Princess Jasmine a kiss on the cheek. |
David's first "adult" rollar coaster - the Matterhorn Bobsleds. |
Timmy was an easy napper! |
Timmy and Squirt the turtle. They were good buddies our last day in the park. |
Had to get a picture with Tow Mater and Lightening McQueen! |

The whole group at Wine Country Trattoria for dinner. As part of our dinner we got reserved seat for World of Color. |
David's expression during the entire presentation of World of Color. It was an incredible show. |
