The day Timmy celebrated his six month birthday he tried his first vegetable - sweet potatoes. I think about day four he decided they were pretty good. Because of David's food allergies, each new food must be "trialed" for a week before we can declare it a safe food for Timmy, and we can only trial one food at a time. He passed sweet potatoes his first week, last week he passed pears, and now he is working on peas (defintetly his least favorite so far).
On Friday he had his six month well baby. He weighed in at 17 lb 5 oz and a little over 25 inches long. The most interesting baby stat was his head circumfence - he is in the 90th percentile (weight is 40th percentile, length is 9th), so he has this HUGE head on top of a medium to small body. I thought about that and then I thought about his dislike of tummy time and rolling over. Well, I wouldn't like to do either of those things if I had a gi-normous head either! So, hearing his baby stats really calmed me down about his lateness in some of his developmental milestones.
We are still working hard with him in both occupational therapy and physical therapy to get him back on track with his "peers." But, gosh, I'm taking it FAR less seriously now that I know about his huge melon.
Overall, Timmy is incredibly sweet and social. He loves sitting up, staring at his brother, grasping and tossing his toys, peek-a-boo, chewing on spoons (and fingers!), playing in his exersaucer, etc. He's a great and easy sleeper. I could go on and on ... I just feel so blessed by my boys today!

Oh man, you always know how to make me laugh! Looking at him, I would never have guessed that his head is so much bigger than the rest of his body is! But you're totally right, it must make turning over REALLY difficult (he has to fight gravity!) I love all of you ;)
