National Jewish - Day 6 (last day!!)

David successfully passed food challenges to tuna and crab today and we feel very confident that he can eat any fish or shellfish that he would want to eat without worrying about food allergies. We cannot food challenge any of his other food allergies and besides that he's actually in really good health, so... we're done. We had a discharge meeting with the two doctors, got copies of all his test results and x-rays, and said good-bye.

We fly back to Minot on Wednesday. Technically we could fly back tomorrow, but we wouldn't have gotten to Minot until after midnight and then not home and me asleep until about 1:30am. Ugg. So, we opted for Wednesday instead when we can get back in the afternoon.

I'm so proud of my little boy. This has not been an easy trip for him. No naps and lots of poking and prodding. We've asked him to do all kinds of things (like eat cold tuna covered in ketchup at 9:30am) and not been able to accept no for an answer. He's been a real trooper. That said, I'll be glad when we get naptime reestablished!

Lisa, as with this trip last year, as been my tireless helper and organizer, keeping us on track and fed when I can't even remember where I put my shoes.

And I'm actually excited to go home because Chris is coming home so soon... March 13th is just around the corner and then shortly after that we are moving to California!! I've never really been excited to go to Minot before... ever. It's an odd feeling. I have to say too that I miss my friends in Minot. Especially since Chris has been gone, these people have been my support and my shoulder and I miss them a lot!
