Timmy comes home!

Timmy and I were released from the hospital yesterday morning. Here's how the morning progressed.

First Nana got Timmy dressed in the same cap and jacket that Chris and David wore home from the hospital 28 and 3 years ago.

Here is Timmy all dressed up to go home!

Here we are leaving the hospital.

After we had settled in at home David sat down next to me on the couch and asked to hold Timmy ... I helped. David was very excited and very gentle. I'm so proud of his behavior toward Timmy! Below are two more photos from our boys' first official meeting.

So far Timmy has been a very easy baby and a great sleeper. Of course, he's just a couple of days old so things will change and develop over time, but so far the transition home has been very pleasant.
Timmy had his first check-up this morning with his pediatrician and he's doing very well. He left the hospital weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz and has gained 4 ounces back in his first day home.
This afternoon Timmy has a long period of wakefulness and David took the opportunity to sing to Timmy, first the alphabet song and then "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". It was very sweet and I think David enjoyed the interaction with his baby brother.
