Thanksgiving

Although I don't have the pictures to prove it (they're on others' cameras), we did have a great Thanksgiving.
I was a little stressed on Tuesday afternoon when I realized that my oven was broken, just as I was starting the Thanksgiving baking! However, base housing maintenance was able to send someone over to fix it on Wednesday midmorning! Later that afternoon, Chris' parents Lisa and Jesse had arrived along with Lisa' dad Gene and his girlfriend Cathy. Soon afterward Chris' brother Russell and his wife Julianne arrived as well. We all sat down for a big dinner that Chris made with the best grilled salmon! Chris' sister Missy also arrived that night but chose to sat with her parents in Santa Maria, so the next morning at breakfast was the Ewing kid family reunion.
After Thanksgiving breakfast was over Russell and Julianne headed north to celebrate with Julianne's family. The rest of us celebrated a great Thanksgiving together, along with Brandon, a friend of ours also stationed here.
We also had a great family dinner the following day after breaking up to pursue various activities during the day. We all met up at a local steak place, minus Chris who came down with the flu, and had one last meal together before everyone drove home the next morning.
