An illustration of David's health

After coming back from our trip to Denver I decided to throw away any medication David hadn't needed since the first time we went to National Jewish in January of 2008. Below is a picture of all the medication that I threw away (using FDA guidelines, in case you were curious).

I'm not sure that there's enough room in blogger's memory to explain everything that this picture means to me.

This picture reminds me of every time I used one of these medications, hoping this was finally the cure to David's problems, hoping we were doing the right thing this time.
This picture is all the love and struggle for my son and I will remember grinding these pills and applying these creams and giving these breathing treatments forever.
This picture is everything that is wrong with our medical community, throwing drug after drug into an infant's system, putting a band-aid on a broken limb.
This picture is David's past and I rejoice and praise God that this is in my trash and not David's future.
