Baghdad

Chris sent me this picture this afternoon. This is a picture of the tent he is living in for the next week while in training that he took with his webcam. We were able to talk via instant messenger today for about 30 minutes (off and on, the connection kept dropping). All of our previous communication has been short either because he had some place to go or I was not at home when he called (lol, I guess I'm a little busier than he or I anticipated). It was nice to chat today about just the little things.
David and I are doing well. Just plugging along. I've got some good video of David to post eventually. My main concern has been that I'm basically not sleeping until I can't keep my eyes open anymore, so I end up only getting about 5 hours of sleep a night and not being terribly functionally or productive during the day. I guess some part of me is waiting for my husband to come home...

I really can sympathize on the sleep! One thing I found that helped me get to sleep earlier was to force myself in to bed around 11 at the latest and then start reading or something else like that to unwind me until I just fell asleep that way. After awhile, I was able to start getting to sleep a bit earlier...now I am at around midnightish to fall asleep!

Let me know if you need anything!

Sleep is the hard part, but eventually you get into a routine. It is hard, but eventually the days go by so quickly that you will be preparing for him to come home. The last night before he gets home will be the longest night of your life. It is like a kid trying to go to sleep on Christmas Eve. Find what works for you. HUGGS
